Helping Out At A Senior Center
Senior citizens are the wisest and knowledgeable members of society. Unfortunately, at times they are also the most forgotten. Spending time with them and reminding them that they still matter and that someone still cares is a very noble thing to do. It also provides teens with the opportunity to hear all types of stories the shed light on different perspectives about life.
Serving Meals
The is no better gift than to feed those who are hungry. Volunteering to cook and serve meals to those who are hungry and need a little help is an action that has a meaningful and immediate impact. Adding other in this way helps to build character and an understanding of civic responsibility that teens can carry with them throughout the rest of their lives.
So often young people see issues around them and wish that they could help. Society has taught them that help, in most cases, comes in the form of money.
