After a few unsuccessful attempts to get clean audio from my Nikon DSLR I decided to find a compact alternative that would give me high quality digital recordings without breaking the bank. I use an ordinary room mic to record audio and being able to connect directly to the Zoom via XLR and adjust each channel individually is its best feature. I purchased an 8GB SD card which gives me over 11 hours of recording time at 16bit 48kHz stereo. The only cons I have with it is that the jog wheel is small and the tiny menu button. Overall this zoom recorder is amazing and I highly recommend it for any DSLR/Video Shooter on the go.
