Uni-Pak Makes Preparing Dishes Easier For Moms

We’re living in a fast-paced world where every minute counts. For a wife and mother like me, preparing dishes that are both healthy and delicious can be challenging especially when you have a limited time. My family’s health is always top priority so I prepare food not just for the sake of having food on the table but I make sure that it’s nutritious food I’m serving. Let’s remember that cooking meals need not be complicated. We can simplify the process and come up with sumptuous, easy to prepare dishes.

My go-to food is usually Uni-Pak products especially Uni-Pak Mackerel. Uni-Pak lets me cook hearty meals in no time. Plus, mackerel is one of the best sources of selenium, calcium, iron, protein, minerals, and Vitamins B and D. It’s said to help in fighting dementia, breast, prostate, renal, and colon cancers. Mackerel also contains high amounts of Omega-3 fatty acid which helps prevent cardiovascular diseases and promote brain health. Furthermore, mackerel strengthens the immune system.

UNI-PAK MACKEREL SANDWICH RECIPE

I’d like to share a simple recipe that everyone, especially those who are very busy, can easily make. It’s a tuna sandwich which makes use of the Uni-Pak Mackerel in Natural Oil (with Omega 3) instead of tuna flakes. It’s really a great substitute for tuna. It’s so easy to prepare and only have a few ingredients.

Ingredients:

• Uni-Pak Mackerel in Natural Oil, drained
• Mayonnaise
• Cheese, grated
• Bell Pepper, diced
• Red Onion, minced
• Black Pepper
• Salt
• Sugar

Procedure:

Drain the mackerel and get the fish from the can then crush it. You can either include the fishbone or not. Since Uni-Pak’s fishbone is so tender, I opted not to remove it. After that, mix well all the ingredients together. Season to taste with salt, black pepper, and sugar. Spread the mixture on your bread of choice. Voila! Your ‘tuna-style’ mackerel sandwich is ready.

I came up with this recipe because of my daughter. It’s great as “baon” in school not only because of its taste but most importantly due to its many health benefits.

Why I Love Uni-Pak Mackerel

There are a couple more reasons why I love Uni-Pak Mackerel. It comes in easy-to-open cans so it’s perfect to bring during camping and out of town trips. The mackerel pieces are quite big and as I’ve said earlier the fishbones are soft.

If you’re really in a hurry, you can eat the mackerel right off the can or a simple reheat will do. It’s also very affordable. I’m just glad that Kimy loves the recipe I made. Not only is it a sandwich spread, but she also eats it – pinapapak – even without the bread.
