Oilatum Bar: For Dry, Sensitive Skin
One of the main concerns that parents have in taking care of their children is the skin care. During the early years, most children have the tendency to develop skin asthma or what others may call eczema or Atopic dermatitis.
Eczema is a sensitive skin condition that great care should be given to prevent further infection and irritation. This is characterized by dry scaly patches in a symmetrical distribution all over the body. The patches may become really itchy.
The extremely dry skin caused by this skin disease may increase the risk of developing secondary infections. Unfortunately, my five year old child, Kimy, has been a victim of this skin disease as stated in my previous post.
From the experience of my little one, I have discovered that skin asthma is just like asthma in most ways. First of all, it can be triggered by various factors. For my daughter, she usually experience skin asthma attacks once the weather changes.
When the weather is too hot, rashes will surely appear. As a mother, seeing my daughter suffer pains me. This is why I have decided to make my own research on various medications that can help cure the condition.
Through my online research, I have come across the Oilatum Bar by Stiefel. It has been regarded as a very effective soap for eczema for a number of decades.
I have joined a forum where most mommies with children experiencing the same condition discuss their experiences with one another. According to most moms, they use Oilatum Bar in managing the said skin condition of their children. This is why I have decided to allow Kimy to make use of it too.
Honestly, I was surprised at how effective the soap is. Oilatum Bar has become a huge help in treating Kimy’s skin asthma. Thanks to it, her dry and flaky skin were now hydrated and moisturized! Compared to other soaps, Oilatum Bar has no greasy feeling on one’s skin. I’m really happy that she did not develop any irritations from the use of Oilatum Bar.
Kimy uses Oilatum Bar as her bath soap every single day. Aside from it, I also let her use Cetaphil Restoraderm Skin Restoring Body Moisturizer, which is by the way recommended by her pedia. I make sure to apply it all over her body twice a day (or as needed) every after bathing or washing. I put on the moisturizer thicker on affected areas such as her elbows as well as knees.
Oilatum Bar provides a much gentler touch, leaving zero irritation to the affected area of the skin. It does not only supply irritation-resistance to the skin, it leaves you moisturized all day round!
Oilatum Bar (100g) is sold for a price of 164.45 PHP only. This is a lot cheaper than any other brands of soap intended for dry and sensitive skin.
